Our client, a $500M developer of large manufacturing testing equipment, required an improved SAP tool for developing customer sales quotes versus what their SAP VC module could supply. They had identified a third-party application providing the missing functionality, but desired a partner to assist with the design, development, and deployment of the interfaces to and from SAP.
Our business analysts and developers (who had created similar integrations for other companies in the same modules) assumed leadership roles in the project working closely with the client’s full-time staff to ensure the solutions fit with their SDLC and to support the knowledge transfer after go-live. Our consultants not only designed and tested the interfaces, but also analyzed and cleansed the data from the native system to ensure quality data was imported into the new tool.
The interface went live with a subset of the client’s products and has been working extremely well. The engineers and sales team now have a tool to handle very complex bills of materials and provide more accurate quotes to the client’s customers.
