As part of an initiative to improve the corporate reporting process, the client requested a KPI based dashboard providing O&M, capital, and HR information on a monthly basis. Due to the project’s high visibility among executives, the project incurred multiple requirement changes.
Our consultant, along with the project team, was able to creatively work around the numerous technical and functional challenges encountered due to scope changes. By combining cutting edge Xcelsius front-end dashboarding skills with back-end data design, our consultant discovered and designed a process to automate numerous manually populated reports not previously documented. He was also able to include an executive explanation field, which was a last minute scope add request.
The interactive dashboard eliminated a cumbersome manual 50-page Excel file and the introduction of the dashboard to the executive leadership team was met with extremely positive and appreciative feedback. The project was recognized for being a great example of collaboration between business and information technology.
