Joan Levin

CEO

Joan Levin worked with her husband Scott (deceased) to start Mid-Del Group in 2005 and later took on more and more responsibility with running the company as it grew. Joan brings a versatile background and experience in healthcare, agriculture and family-owned business.

Mid-Del uses the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to streamline operations and achieve our vision. Using EOS Traction Tools, we manage projects, document processes, and conduct meetings effectively.

In 2022, Joan became the 100% owner of Mid-Del Group. Under her leadership, the business has flourished, and in 2025, we will proudly celebrate our 20th anniversary.

With a legacy of excellence and a forward-thinking approach, Mid-Del Group is dedicated to providing value-driven consulting services for the energy industry across front, middle and back-office operations.

Joan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Occupational Therapy from the College of St. Catherine. She is Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins fan and enjoys time at her cabin with family and friends in northern Minnesota. Joan has three adult children and one grandchild.

Drew Epps has been working with Scott and MidDel since 2005 when they were both assigned to the same client in Dallas. He has been a fervent supporter of MidDel throughout the years and now along with being billable, he leads the consulting ranks.

Drew has over 20 years of experience as a technologist and business consultant in the energy sector supported by MBA-Finance and Petroleum Engineering degrees. He has consulted with numerous energy companies across North America from Westcoast Energy in Alberta to Pemex in Mexico City.

Passionate about what he does, Drew delivers always with relentless integrity, which, by no coincidence, is one of MidDel’s core values.

His functional expertise includes most facets of power, gas, and oil marketing, risk/credit management, and gas transportation. His technical expertise includes program management, business analysis, application architecture design, database design, interface design, development, testing and implementation.

Drew is an avid football fan and has had great success in the company’s fantasy league. He and his wife Lee have two boys and live in Cypress, TX. They enjoy hiking and traveling to our great National Parks in the western states.

Roy D. Goodman

Executive Vice President

Roy has over 20 years of experience in marketing and information technology leadership roles in energy, commodities and financial services as a business partner and leader in delivering Solutions at the intersection of business core competencies and technology. 

As a leader and advocate for the business, Roy delivered effective and integrated solutions across the front, mid and back-office for companies that span the Fortune 500 to new ventures. 

He has led the initial formation or transformation of foundational and analytical systems for significant events like startup, divestiture, acquisition, market entry and / or market driven changes.

Roy loves what he does and wants to win for you (the client) whether the initiative is continuous improvement, strategy, M&A, risk management or compliance in the marketing and trading of power, gas or related commodities.     

Roy holds a B.S. degree in computer information systems from the University of Northwestern in Minnesota and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a baseball, football and hockey fan and enjoys boating and fishing with family on the coast of North Carolina. Roy and his wife, Kerri, have four children.

Managing Director

Beth Blackwell brings more than 20 years of energy experience to the MidDel leadership team, as well as an energetic, creative personality that delivers the highest level of personal service to each of our clients.

Beth knows energy: crude, refined products, liquids and natural gas trading in both the physical and financial markets. She has an extensive background in consulting, project management, risk management, software implementations, and project planning.

Her commitment to personal service is evident from the very first conversation; as she makes every effort to clearly understand every detail of your situation so she can recommend the best possible solution for you, deliver it on time and on budget.

Beth loves to entertain at home and spend time with her family; she has a recipe for every occasion. If you are lucky enough to work with Beth, she has been known to deliver warm, home-made muffins to her clients as well. Beth received her BBA from the University of Texas. She and her husband, Jim, have four children and live in Houston, TX.

Scott Levin passed away on November 12, 2022.

He was our friend, colleague, mentor and CEO/Founder of MidDel Consulting. Scott was an impassioned and supportive leader, who demonstrated integrity in all that he did. He will be greatly missed. Scott’s legacy will continue through MidDel Consulting. Below is a link to his obituary:
