Neil Shah is CEO and President of HOC, the parent company of MidDel Consulting. He leads the organization’s strategy, growth and continued development of enterprise software and consulting capabilities for clients in the energy, commodities and financial services industries.
Under Neil’s leadership, HOC brings together technology, industry expertise and a client-focused approach to help organizations improve operations, manage risk and modernize critical business processes. HOC’s acquisition of MidDel expands that mission by combining HOC’s capabilities in enterprise software, data integration, automation and AI-enabled solutions with MidDel’s deep energy-market knowledge and consulting experience.

Roy Goodman is Executive Vice President of MidDel Consulting, where he leads consulting services, client relationships and the continued growth of the firm as part of HOC.
Roy brings more than two decades of leadership experience at the intersection of energy and commodity operations, business strategy, data and enterprise technology. He has led business transformation, technology modernization and system implementation initiatives across the front, middle and back office for organizations ranging from new ventures to Fortune 500 companies.
His experience includes energy trading and risk management, market operations, credit and compliance, accounting and settlements, data and analytics, mergers and acquisitions, and the development of technology-enabled operating capabilities. Roy focuses on translating complex business and technology challenges into practical solutions that strengthen operations, controls and decision-making.
Roy holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of Northwestern–St. Paul and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Drew Epps is Senior Vice President of Risk & Trading Solutions at MidDel, where he provides leadership across consulting delivery, client engagements and the development of practical solutions for energy-market participants.
Drew has worked with MidDel since 2005 and brings more than 20 years of experience as a technologist and business consultant in the energy industry. He has advised energy companies throughout North America on initiatives involving power, natural gas and oil marketing, risk and credit management, gas transportation and enterprise technology.
His experience spans program and project leadership, business analysis, solution and application architecture, database and interface design, software development, testing and implementation. This combination of functional and technical expertise enables Drew to connect business requirements with solutions that can be successfully implemented and sustained.
Drew holds an MBA with a concentration in finance and a degree in petroleum engineering.
Beth Blackwell brings more than 20 years of energy experience to the MidDel leadership team, as well as an energetic, creative personality that delivers the highest level of personal service to each of our clients.
Beth knows energy: crude, refined products, liquids and natural gas trading in both the physical and financial markets. She has an extensive background in consulting, project management, risk management, software implementations, and project planning.
Her commitment to personal service is evident from the very first conversation; as she makes every effort to clearly understand every detail of your situation so she can recommend the best possible solution for you, deliver it on time and on budget.
Beth loves to entertain at home and spend time with her family; she has a recipe for every occasion. If you are lucky enough to work with Beth, she has been known to deliver warm, home-made muffins to her clients as well. Beth received her BBA from the University of Texas. She and her husband, Jim, have four children and live in Houston, TX.
